Terms

API general terms

These general terms (the “Terms”) govern the use and purchase of the RenderThink API: the /v1 routes, the MCP server, the console and the playground of developers.renderthink.com (together, the “Service”). They are both the general terms of use and the general terms of sale of the Service. This is a translation: only the French version is binding.
  • SAS RENDERTHINK, with a share capital of €2, registered with the Grenoble Trade and Companies Register under number 102 977 147 (SIRET 102 977 147 00010).
  • EU VAT number: FR33102977147.
  • Registered office: 17 rue Pasteur, 38400 Saint-Martin-d’Hères, France.
  • Contact: contact@renderthink.com; support: support@renderthink.com.
  • Version 2026-10-10, published on 10 October 2026.
  • The Terms are accepted when an organization is created, in the console: the I accept the RenderThink API general terms checkbox is required, and RenderThink records the acceptance date and the accepted version with the organization.
  • The person creating the organization represents that they have the authority to bind the entity on whose behalf they act.
  • The Service is reserved for professionals, for the needs of their business. The Customer does not act as a consumer.
  • Customer: the natural or legal person who holds an organization.
  • Organization: the Customer’s space in the console; it holds its members, API keys, balance and invoices.
  • Member: a RenderThink account attached to an organization, with a role (owner, admin, developer, billing).
  • API key: the secret that authenticates calls to the Service; a test key (rt_test_…) or a live key (rt_live_…).
  • Generation: a render, edit, decoration or upscaling request accepted by the Service.
  • Result: the image produced by a generation.
  • Balance: the organization’s prepaid credit, in euros excluding tax.
  • End user: any person using a product or service of the Customer that integrates the Service.
  • The Customer provides accurate information (name, country, billing address) and keeps it up to date.
  • The Customer is responsible for every action taken with its accounts and API keys, including by its members, staff, contractors and End users.
  • An API key is confidential: it is only used from a server or tool of the Customer, never in a browser or a distributed application, and is not shared outside the organization. The Customer alone is responsible for keeping it safe.
  • Exposed key: every generation started with a valid key is deemed made by the Customer. If a key is disclosed, whatever the cause (publication in a public code repository, a file, an application, a message, a screenshot, or the act of a member, contractor or third party), the generations started with it until it is revoked are due, debited from the balance, and neither refunded nor compensated, even if they use up the whole balance or trigger automatic top-ups. RenderThink is not responsible for that disclosure or its consequences.
  • The Customer revokes without delay, from the console, any key it believes exposed. To limit the risk, it can restrict a key’s permissions, allowed IP addresses and expiry date, set a monthly spend cap and turn automatic top-up off. These protections are its responsibility; RenderThink has no duty to detect abnormal use.
  • Two-factor authentication of members is recommended. The Customer is likewise responsible for the use of a member account whose credentials have been disclosed.
  • The Service transforms interior images with artificial intelligence: render, edit, decoration and upscaling, described in this documentation.
  • A test key gives access to test mode: the same checks as a live key, a sample result, no charge (see Test mode).
  • The Service is provided as is. RenderThink may change it, add or remove features, and announces by email to the organization owner, before it applies, any change that would break an existing integration.
  • No availability is guaranteed. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, normally announced in the console, or temporarily refuse generations under heavy load; such refusals are never charged. The allowed throughput depends on the organization’s tier (see Rate limits).
Results are produced by artificial intelligence models. They are probabilistic by nature, which the Customer expressly acknowledges.
  • RenderThink does not guarantee that Results are photorealistic, faithful to the submitted image or to the instruction, free of errors or artifacts, or fit for any particular purpose.
  • A Result may, among other things, change, add or remove elements, alter proportions, materials, colors or details, or depart from the request. The same request may give different Results.
  • A Result is an illustration. It is neither a plan nor a contractual representation of a property, product or work, and does not replace the opinion of a qualified professional.
  • The Customer reviews every Result before using it or showing it to a third party, and alone decides how it is used.
  • Dissatisfaction with the quality, rendering or aesthetic conformity of a Result gives no right to a refund or compensation.
RenderThink’s commitment covers the production of an image, not its quality:
  • every charged generation ends with a Result, or is refunded;
  • a failed generation, or one canceled before it starts, is refunded to the top-ups its price came from;
  • a generation delivered at a lower resolution than requested is refunded the difference between the requested price and the price of the delivered resolution;
  • a request refused on entry (invalid parameter, insufficient balance, cap reached, heavy load, rate limit) is never charged.
A generation that ends with a Result is due, whatever that Result (article 6).
  • Prices are in euros excluding tax, per generation, by mode and output resolution (see Pricing). Reads, styles and edit materials are free.
  • The organization’s tier depends on its total spent (the price of the generations charged, minus what was refunded), whatever the origin of the credit used, and never goes down; a top-up alone does not change it; its discount applies to all prices, the discounted price being rounded down to the cent. A discount or rate limits agreed in writing with RenderThink replace the tier’s.
  • A generation’s price is the one in force when it is accepted; it is charged at that time and shown in the generation (cost field).
  • RenderThink may change its prices. An increase is announced by email to the owner and billing members before it applies; a decrease applies as soon as it is published.
  • The Service is paid in advance: each generation is charged to the organization’s balance (see Billing).
  • A top-up ranges from €10 excluding tax to the cap set for the organization’s tier (see Pricing), by card, on a Stripe payment page. VAT is added according to the billing address: French VAT in France, reverse charge for a European Union customer with a valid VAT number, the country of residence rate without a valid number, no VAT outside the European Union. Each top-up gives rise to an invoice.
  • The credit is available as soon as payment is confirmed. RenderThink keeps no card data: it only knows the brand and last 4 digits of a saved card.
  • Automatic top-up and the monthly spend cap are optional and set in the console. A refused automatic payment turns automatic top-up off.
  • Each top-up is valid for 12 months after it is collected; the amounts expiring first are used first, and an email announces the expiry of a remainder 30 days before. An expired amount is lost and is not refunded.
  • The balance is not refundable, except: (i) in the cases of article 7; (ii) before the organization is deleted, which the console refuses while a balance remains: the remaining unexpired balance may then be refunded on request to support; (iii) on termination by RenderThink without breach by the Customer (article 13).
  • A top-up refunded by RenderThink, for whatever reason, is removed from the balance, up to what remains of it.
  • A payment disputed with the bank, or flagged as a fraud risk, suspends the organization until it is settled.
  • As the Service is provided between professionals and performed from the top-up, no right of withdrawal applies.
The Customer complies with the law and these Terms, and in particular does not:
  • send an image on which it does not hold the necessary rights, or which infringes the privacy, image or rights of third parties;
  • produce or distribute unlawful, violent, pornographic, discriminatory, defamatory or misleading content;
  • present a Result as a photograph of a real place, property or product where that presentation may mislead a third party, in particular in a real estate listing or a commercial offer;
  • circumvent the Service’s rate limits, caps or checks, multiply organizations for that purpose, or share an API key outside its organization;
  • resell or make available access to the Service as such, without integrating it into a product or service of its own;
  • attempt to compromise the Service’s security, extract its code, models or generation instructions, or reverse engineer it;
  • use the Results, the materials catalog or the Service’s responses to train or improve a competing artificial intelligence model.
RenderThink may refuse a generation, revoke a key or suspend an organization in case of breach, abuse or suspicious use.
  • The Customer may integrate the Service into its own products and services and make it available to its End users.
  • It is responsible for the content its End users send to the Service and for their use of the Results, and imposes on them rules at least as protective as article 10.
  • It informs its End users that images are produced by artificial intelligence where the law requires it or where their presentation could mislead them.
  • It does not present RenderThink as associated with its products, nor imply that RenderThink endorses them, without written agreement.
  • The Customer keeps its rights to the images and instructions it sends. It grants RenderThink, solely to provide the Service, a non-exclusive, free license to process, transform and keep them for the periods below. It warrants that it holds the necessary rights.
  • Results belong to the Customer, who uses them freely under its own responsibility. RenderThink does not guarantee that a Result is protectable by copyright, or that it does not coincidentally resemble an existing work or product.
  • The Service, its documentation, its generation instructions and the materials catalog remain the property of RenderThink or its licensors. Catalog images are only used with the Service.
  • Retention (see Images): received and produced images are deleted 24 hours after the generation ends; an edit instruction, 30 days after creation; the generation itself, without images, stays readable for 13 months; the request log is kept for 30 days.
  • No training: no received or produced image is used to train an artificial intelligence model.
  • RenderThink processes members’ personal data as controller, under its privacy policy. For personal data the Customer sends to the Service, RenderThink acts as processor within the meaning of article 28 of the GDPR; a data processing agreement is available on request. Generations rely on artificial intelligence and hosting providers, sub-processors of RenderThink.
  • The owner may delete the organization at any time from the console, provided no balance and no running generation remain. A top-up paid after the deletion is refunded in full.
  • RenderThink may suspend an organization or revoke a key without notice in case of serious breach, fraud, disputed payment, abusive use or at the request of an authority.
  • RenderThink may terminate a Customer’s access with 30 days’ notice. On termination without breach by the Customer, the remaining unexpired balance is refunded; on termination for breach, it is lost.
  • RenderThink is bound by an obligation of means. Its total liability, all damages combined, is limited to the amounts paid by the Customer for generations in the twelve (12) months preceding the triggering event.
  • RenderThink is not liable for any indirect damage, in particular loss of revenue, customers, data or reputation, nor for the consequences of the use of a Result by the Customer or its End users.
  • The Customer holds RenderThink harmless against any third-party claim related to the content it sends, the use of the Results, its products or its End users, and indemnifies it for any resulting amounts.
  • RenderThink is not liable for a delay or failure caused by force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code, including the failure of an essential provider (hosting, payment, artificial intelligence) or a large-scale cyberattack.
RenderThink may change the Terms. A new version bears its date; it is announced by email to the owner of each organization at least 30 days before it applies, except for a legal obligation or a security measure. Using the Service after that date means accepting the new version.
  • The Terms are governed by French law. In case of translation, only the French version is binding.
  • The parties first seek an amicable solution for thirty (30) days, at the initiative of the more diligent party, in writing to contact@renderthink.com.
  • Failing that, any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Grenoble, even with several defendants or a third-party claim.
