Resolutions

The quality parameter of a render, an edit or a decoration sets the resolution of the output image: 1k, 2k, 4k or 8k. It determines the fidelity of the result, its size and its price.
qualityRecommended useDescription
1kDraftQuick to review, less faithful to the source image: proportions, materials and details may drift from it. Use it to validate an idea, not to show it.
2kEveryday useFaithful to the source image and realistic. The right choice for on-screen presentations, websites and documents.
4kLarge screens, printThe fidelity of 2K, larger: for large displays, prints up to A3 or cropping.
8kLarge-format printThe fidelity of 2K, much larger: for panels, posters or tight crops.
Start in 1k to explore ideas at a lower cost, then run the one you keep in 2k or higher.
The output image keeps the proportions of the input image.
qualityLong side at 16:9Pixels, approximately
1k1,376 px1 million
2k2,752 px4.2 million
4k3,840 px8.3 million
8k7,680 px33 million
The exact dimensions are in the generation: output[].width and output[].height. An image squarer than 16:9 has a shorter long side, for a comparable pixel count.
To enlarge an image you already have, without altering it, use upscaling (x2 or x4).
